Remove Discord app data caches and run the update executable as administrator to force connection updates.

Instant Update Bypass

Delete Discord's AppData and LocalAppData folders completely to flush locked updater configurations and fix updating loops.

# Step 1: Close Discord Completely via Task Manager

The updater loop often happens when another background Discord process locks active registry elements: 1. Right-click your taskbar and select Task Manager. 2. Locate all processes with the word Discord, right-click them, and select End Task.

# Step 2: Flush Locked Cache Folders

1. Press Win + R, input %appdata%, and click OK. 2. Find the folder named discord and permanently delete it. 3. Open Run again via Win + R, input %localappdata%, find Discord, and erase it as well. 4. Download a fresh install of the client and boot normally.
