# Step 1: Toggle QoS Settings

Certain home routers block packets with priority tags, leaving discord loops hanging indefinitely on RTC connecting: 1. Open Discord, click the gear icon (User Settings) in the bottom layout. 2. Navigate to Voice & Video settings. 3. Scroll down to locate Enable Quality of Service High Packet Priority. 4. Set the toggle to Off.

1. In the same menu, toggle Audio Subsystem options from Standard to Legacy. 2. Restart Discord. Connect to channels with instant voice feedback.
