Fix Discord Mic Not Working

Reset Discord Voice Settings
Enable microphone access permissions in your Windows Settings app to allow Discord to access your physical audio hardware.# Step 1: Enable Microphone Privacy Permissions
Windows update patches often disable microphone permissions for third-party programs like Discord by default: 1. Open your Windows Settings options. 2. Select Privacy & Security > Microphone. 3. Toggle Microphone access to On. 4. Scroll down to verify that Let desktop apps access your microphone is also turned On.
# Step 2: Reset Discord Voice Settings
If your system settings look correct but your mic is still not picking up audio inside voice channels, reset the voice engine settings inside Discord: 1. Open Discord, and click the Settings (gear icon) in the bottom-left corner. 2. Select the Voice & Video tab. 3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click the red Reset Voice Settings button. 4. Click OK, reconnect to your voice channel, and verify that your friends can hear you now.
