Fix CS2 Low FPS and Stuttering
To solve Counter-Strike 2 low FPS issues, disable fullscreen optimizations and disable NVIDIA Reflex options.
Shader Cache Optimization
Disable fullscreen optimizations in Counter-Strike 2 file properties and delete dynamic Shader models to resolve FPS stutters.
# Step 1: Configure Executable Properties
Windows display filters can trigger input delay and micro stutters in CS2:
1. Open up Steam, right-click Counter-Strike 2 in your Library, and choose Properties > Installed Files > Browse.
2. Right-click the game executable file (cs2.exe inside game/bin/win64) and open Properties.
3. Select the Compatibility tab options.
4. Check Disable fullscreen optimizations and click OK.
# Step 2: Clear Shader Caches
Old caching data can conflict with dynamic source engine structures: 1. For NVIDIA cards: Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Shader Cache Size and change it to Unlimited. 2. Restart CS2 and let shaders compile fully in active practice maps.
